A&R Music Live, LLC., is an independent A&R and consulting company.  Founded in Atlanta, GA, in 1993, by Steve Strother, CEO / Consultant, the company hosts weekly A&R Hookups with record company A&R, exclusive demo listening sessions and workshops by PHONE and WEB!  The company has hosted more than 1900 music listening sessions and workshops with top industry executives. More than 37 acts, including Grammy winner India Arie, TLC, and Usher, have used A&R Music Live products and services in pursuing their recording contracts. Our most recent success story is Emphatic, a rock group signed to Atlantic Records on December 31, 2009, as a result of attending the A&R Live Hookup. Many more attendees have landed television licensing deals, major label production work and publishing contracts.

On the seminar circuit Steve has moderated major A&R panels at NARAS, ASCAP, SESAC, Atlantis Music Conference, Jack The Rapper, National Entertainment Seminar Series, Soul Summit, Southern Music Conference, Bermuda Songwriters Association and the Bahamas Sun Splash to name a few. Steve founded and hosted The A&R Live HOOKUP, I Just Want To Have My Music Heard at Billboard Live, Breaking Into The Music Biz and Power Workshop Series.  Strother serves on the Academic Advisory Board for Bauder College in Atlanta, GA.
